Encore Member Benefits

Encore operates as a membership organization and relies on members to guide, promote, and develop Encore programming. Encore members pay an annual membership fee, which entitles them to many University benefits:

• Student discount rates on cultural events organized by Arts NC State (a significant saving over the regular senior rate)
  
  
• Free transportation on the Wolfline, CAT, and TTA bus systems
  
  
• Free admission to non-revenue sports events such as Wolfpack Women's basketball, gymnastics, and baseball
  
  
• Student discounts at the Campus Cinema
  
  
• Access to the resources of the African-American Cultural Center
  
  
• Discounts on food at the McKimmon Center's Corner Café (by pre-payment)
  
  
• Use of the Carmichael Gym facilities (for an additional fee)

NCSU Libraries privileges: Encore members are entitled to privileges at the NCSU Libraries, which includes the DH Hill Library (main library) and four branch libraries: Natural Resources, Design, Veterinary Medical, and Textiles. Borrowing privileges and access to the Libraries' extensive collections of books, journals, and most electronic resources are available. Please be aware that many electronic databases and journals may not be available to Encore members because of licensing agreements. To register for privileges, Encore members must present their Encore ID card and fill out a registration form at the DH Hill Library's circulation desk. The Libraries' website is www.lib.ncsu.edu. Encore ID Card

While the Encore photo ID card is not needed to attend classes, new members will need to obtain an ID card to take full advantage of the membership benefits described above. For cultural events, Encore members are allowed one discounted ticket per member ID.

You may obtain your ID card at the All-Campus Card office located in the West Dunn building on Dan Allen Drive on the main campus (near the stoplight and railroad bridge). The office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and the phone number is 919.515.3090. Allow one week for processing between the time you register with Encore and when you go to the All-Campus Card office for your ID card. Once you are issued an ID card, you do not need to get a new card each year. Your original card will be reactivated by the All-Campus Card office when you update your membership with Encore.
